As you can see from this picture of my mom and dad on their wedding day, I come from a military family. Dad served in the European Theater during WWII and remained in uniform afterward for 20+ years. Mom was a real trooper -- she’d pack up kids, dogs, cats, turtles and parakeets and make every move a grand adventure. An amazing feat considering the fact that we lived in Newfoundland, France, and at least half the 50 states during dad's Air Force career. |
All four of us kids followed in our dad's footsteps. My older sister Pam and brother Den served in the Marines. My younger sister Mary and I both went Air Force.
After I hung up my uniform for the last time, I went blond, jumped feet first into a second career as an author, and had a ball translating some of my grand adventures into sizzling novels. I'm slowing down a bit these days, but Al and I still love to travel and chase little white balls around the fairways of Oklahoma. Life is good!!! |
